Terry Willson Memorial Trophy RULES.
The Cup was donated by colleagues and friends of Messrs Haden Young of Luton and Cambridge
1. The Trophy Committee will consist of: Mr A Willson - President.
Mr B Arliss - Chairman. Mr R Drage - Secretary/Treasurer. Mr J Levitt.
and the Committee members of Fulbourn Institute F.C.
2. The Competition to be played between eight invited teams and will be played during the first two weeks of August.
3. The invited teams will come from the Cambs Premier Divisions only. This rule is designed to keep the standard of football as high as possible.
4. The money raised from the Competition will be dispersed by direction of the Trophy Committee and notification of this will be found in the programme.
5. Teams are allowed three from five substitutes.
6. Any player being sent off during the Competition will be
unable to participate in the rest of the season's Competition.
7. Cambs League Officials will be invited to officiate at the matches, with the proviso that the Trophy Committee will, with the Cambs league's agreement, appoint the officials for the final.
8. In the event of a draw at full time, two halves of ten minutes each of extra time will be played. The penalty rule will be applied if at the end of extra time the scores are level.
Penalty rule: The best of 5 penalties by each side takenby 5 different players.
If the result is still drawn, penalties on a sudden death basis by players other than the first five players originally used. The penalty takers may only come from the 11 players representing the team on the field of play at the final whistle.
9. There will be a £ 35.00 entry fee from each team.
10. Winning team, runners up and officials will receive mementoes.
11. Trophy winners will be responsible for the safety of the Cup and must be fully insured.
12. All dates will stand. Any team unable to fulfill their fixtures will forfeit the game.
13. The first team drawn will be designated home team for the benefit of colour changes.
14. One Committee member will be present and responsible at each game. Their decision is final.
15. This Competition is run with the firm approval of the Cambs F.A. Any alteration of the Rules will be notified to them.
