Background
Created/funded by Volunteers and community workers all helped to make
the social club what it is today, the new building has been open for over a
year now but although some staff are paid some do their job voluntary.
This is used by the various sporting clubs that are located on the
recreation ground, which include Bowls, Cricket, Football and Tennis.The institute social club was established in 1981
but the sports clubs have been around alot longer. |
Food
Lunches are still being served Thursday and Friday 12-2pm, come down and check out our Menu of the Day... Drink
We have a full bar with very reasonable priced drinks;
a wide range of larger's, wine, spirits, guest ales and many soft drinks,
tea and coffee is also available.
We do last orders up until the club closes. |
Function/Venue
We are linked to Townley Hall, but don't book it out
you can hire the bar for your events but this must go
through Justin Stearn in advance. TV
We have loads of channels to choose from including
Sky Sports and Sentanta (coming soon). |
Membership
Ask a member of staff about membership but a
Single is £7.50
Family is £10
OAP's pay £2.50 for their first year
(and are free from then on).
Membership is paid yearly and you can sign guests
in for 50p each up to three times per guest. |
