Details of season: Two promotions in two seasons is something that we can be proud of. Well done to Mick and the team The step up has improved the competition, and games have been tighter. The squad has struggled at times with long term injury, players unavailability, but the hard core have seen off all the competition. Two good Cup runs made up for the shortage in league fixtures, hopefully next season we will see a full division of teams. The league has once again put Bar Hill, St Ives and ourselves as the three to beat, with other good teams making it difficult (Godmanchester, Ely). Gamlingay dropped out before the season started, and Willingham dropped out in March, this made the season shorter than could be expected. We celebrated victory on the last match away to Bar Hill and everyone agreed, the team deserved the title for the second year running. Well done to the team and all the parents/sponsors help throughout another exciting season. Division C next season, could be too much to ask for the same again chaps. Special well done to Matt, Elliott and Marc for featuring in all 23 matches this season, and and special note to Matt for completing two full seasons without missing a game (some record). |

Details of season: Gaining promotion to the Colts U15 "A" league last season was going to test Phil's team in the top league. A number of strong established sides meant that self belief against reputations played its part at times this year. Some good team performances and a squad with many school mates can look to build on for next season. Jamie Clarke and Chris Barrett also played for the representatives team, well done to them. As we look forward to next season, we may need to bring in a couple of players to strengthen the squad, so that we can compete in a very tough league. Well done to everyone for all the support through the season. |
